Chu Lai Port, situated in Quang Nam province's Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, commenced construction in 2010 and opened its doors for business in May 2012. Spread across 140 hectares, this multipurpose port supports THACO's operations considerably and caters to businesses in the Central Highlands, Laos, and Cambodia by offering port and warehouse facilities. Chu Lai Port provides comprehensive shipping services, including cargo handling, storage, customs clearance, and transportation for various goods like containers, bulk materials, liquids, and oversized items.

To meet the growing import and export needs of the Central and Central Highlands regions, THILOGI initiated an expansion and upgrade project at Chu Lai Port in mid-2022. A key component of this project involves expanding the port's capacity to handle larger 50,000-ton vessels. In collaboration with THADICO and Thien An Company, THILOGI is undertaking significant infrastructure development, including land leveling, dredging, and the construction of a new 365-meter wharf (the current port has a wharf length of 471m). Simultaneously, THILOGI is working with THACO INDUSTRIES and Doosan Group (Quang Ngai) to procure and install essential port equipment.

To expedite the construction of the new 50,000-ton wharf, THILOGI is set to deliver and install essential equipment by the end of August 2023. This includes two advanced STS gantry cranes and three RTG frame cranes, which are state-of-the-art systems commonly employed in major ports worldwide. These cranes boast double the efficiency of the current Liebherr cranes, significantly reducing container handling times. Beyond port expansion, THILOGI is also committed to enhancing warehouse and container yard facilities. To date, the company has established a combined warehouse space of 179,500 square meters and expanded the container yard area to 91,400 square meters at Chu Lai Port.

Thien An Construction and Mechanical Co., Ltd. is honored to be selected as the main contractor to carry out the project of expanding and upgrading Chu Lai Port. We are constructing a new 365-meter wharf, as well as involved in supply and installation of the new wharf's equipment.
